Abstract :
Tourism industry is one of the sectors that is progressing in Indonesia. There
are 13 fields of tourism business that can be used as a source of income. One of the
tourism fields is travel services, or known as Travel Agents. Travel Agent is a company
that provides services in the tourism services. One of the travel agents who provide
these services in Bandung is Selia Tour Bandung, which is the main target sales of
Selia Tour Bandung is Outbound Tour (overseas destinations). The purpose of this
research is to find out how the quality of outbound tours in Selia Tour Bandung. This
research asses eight dimensions that became components in outbound tour: Hotels,
Transportation, Shopping Arrangement, Optional Tour, Tour Leader, Local Guide,
Meals, and Attractions. The results of the assessment of the quality of outbound tours
are useful as a reference for evaluating Selia Tour Bandung in making efforts to
improve the quality of outbound tour in the future.
The research method used is descriptive research method with a quantitative
approach. Data collection techniques were conducted using a questionnaire with Likert
scale and interview guidelines. Determination of the sample in this study using the
Nonprobability Sampling technique with Saturated Sampling. There are tour
participants who have participated the tour in January 2019 and are the most number
of tour participants who represent the population of the tour participants from 2019
who were used as respondents.
The results obtained from respondents assessments regarding the quality of
outbound tours in Selia Tour Bandung are in good range. However, there are several
things that need to be maintained and there are some things that need to be reconsidered
in every dimension that supports the quality of outbound tours. This study produces
several recommendations for Selia Tour Bandung to re-evaluate and determine efforts
to improve the quality of outbound tours.
