Abstract :
This thesis discusses a movie directed by Morten Tyldum entitled The Imitation Game. It is aimed to identify the character of Alan Turing. Specifically, the purpose of this research is to know and explain the character of Alan Turing based on Personality Traits theory in The Imitation Game movie. The writer applies Personality Traits theory by Costa and McCrae. The theorist devides personality traits into five forms known as big five theory are extraversion, neuroticism, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. The data of this research are based on the action and dialogue inside the movie. This research was conducted by library research and qualitative method. The result of this analysis presents two forms of personality traits that are potrayed in Alan Turing inside the movie. There are openness to experience and conscientiousness a lot appeared towards Alan Turing, therefore personality traits described clearly inside the movie.
