Abstract :
Feminism is a collection of movements and ideologies that share a common goal to define, establish, and it born to defend the rights and roles of women in society which in many cases, the difference between women and men develop into discrimination which then triggers harassment. Regarding to that, various kinds of social criticism made by women in a way that they feel can replace their social status in society through various breakthrough both movement in physical or in ideology and one of the ways in which women to do social criticism is by creating a literary work that is based on feminism issue. Thus, in this research, the writer focuses in describing acts feminism that are reflected from the female figures mentioned by three main characters and determined the type of feminism from each of them in the novel of The Book of The City of Ladies. In conducting the research, descriptive method is applied and the writer is using Tong?s theory (2009) of feminism. As the result of the research, it shows that from many of the female figures mentioned by the three main characters of the novel (Lady Reason, Lady Rectitude and Lady Justice) there are only fourteen stories that are representing fourteen female figures that are showing feminism from all of those three ladies and most of the types of feminism that are shown from those stories are liberal feminism followed by radical feminism.
