Abstract :
Many human life aspects slowly changed from the spread of covid-19 disease. The education sector has been one of the significant areas that impact Covid-19 disease. The Education Ministry of Indonesia has changed the teaching and learning process with an online systems strategy. One of way teaching and learning models used by the teacher in online learning is a project-based assignment. The aim of this research is to investigate the implementation of project-based assignment and students? perception in online learning. In SMK Budi Karya Natar, English teacher implementing project-based assignment as learning model. To do so, the research questions were addressed, including: (1) How is the implementation of project-based assignment in online learning during covid-19 pandemic? (2) What is students? perception toward implementation of projectbased assignment in online learning during covid-19 pandemic? To answer the research questions, this study used qualitative methods. The instrument that was used was observations, questionnaires, and interviews. While the participants were 35 students of SMK Budi Karya. The result showed that the English teacher in SMK Budi Karya Natar ready to implement project-based assignment as learning models in online learning. Meanwhile students also of SMK Budi Karya Natar also had positive respond toward the implementation of project-based assignment as their learning models. However, based on the result, the teacher needs to evaluate and improve in Implementing Project-based assignment as learning model.

Meanwhile students also of SMK Budi Karya Natar also had positive respond toward the implementation of project-based assignment as their learning models. However, based on the result, the teacher needs to evaluate and improve in Implementing Project-based assignment as learning model.
