Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to find out whether there were
significant differences in the Think-Pair-Share Technique to improve
the speaking ability of the eleventh-grade students at SMA Al-Huda
Jatimulyo. The method of this research was quantitative. This research
used some appropriate data such as pre-test and post-test to collect the
data. The analysis used was the t-test with help of SPSS for windows
version 17. The t-test post-test of the Experimental and control group
aimed to determine whether there was an increase in the score. The
subject of this research was the students of eleventh grade in SMA AlHuda Jatimulyo.
The research findings of this research show that there were
significant differences after being taught using the Think-Pair-Share
Technique on students? speaking ability. The t-test was declared
significant t-count was 4.287 and t-table at a significant level 5% was
2.045. Meanwhile, the p-value was 0.000 a smaller than the t table at a
significant level of 5%. From the statistical calculation, the p-value is
smaller than the t table. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H?) was
rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H?) was accepted. It means
that there was an effect of the Think-Pair-Share technique on students?
speaking ability of the eleventh grade in SMA Al-Huda Jatimulyo.
