Abstract :
Film is a mass communication media that aims to convey something through messages conveyed through a series of narrated scenes. Film is the only field that can describe a person's situation for the question of class, even if they are from any class, poor, middle and rich, and differences in racial status as well as gender status. Film and literature are artistic expressions of the human mind. This research is entitled "Schizophrenia Disorder Depicted in the Main Character in Lars and the Real Girls Movie." The focus of this research is to identify and analyze the mental disorder Schizophrenia in the main character in the film Lars and the real girl. In this study, the author uses a qualitative descriptive method to answer research questions. The results of the analysis show that the main character in the film Lars and the real girl movie actually has a psychological disorder, namely schizophrenia, and based on the results of the analysis shows that the main character in the film shows 3 types of schizophrenia symptoms, namely hallucinations, delusions and disorganized behavior. Moreover for the influential factors in main character have schizophrenia are enviromental factors and psychological factors.
