Abstract :
Existential feminism focus on the existence of women in life who become objects for men. This research is titled an analysis of existence feminist on Women Talking (2022) movie , which is adapted from a novel by Miriam Toews and directed by Sarah Polley. This research use Simone de Beauvoir's theory of existentialist feminism. The purpose of this research is to find out how the existence of women as "the other" and the form of women's resistance to their existence in the movie Women Talking 2022. The research method is descriptive-qualitative method used to analyze the data. The results of this study found that there are 3 (three) existence of women as "others", namely, (1) Differences in the position of women and men, (2) Violence against women, (3) Sexual harassment, and there are 4 (four) forms of women's resistance to their existence, namely, (1) Women can work, (2) Women are able to become intellectuals, (3) Women become social transformations of society, (4) Women go beyond their limits, and this study shows that there are still forms of oppression against women that occur in female characters in the film Women Talking In addition, there are forms of resistance in female characters in the film Women Talking 2022 against gender injustice.
