Abstract :
This study aims to examine the effect of interest rates and inflation on profitability as measured by Return on Assets (ROA). This research is a quantitative approach research. The research population is a financial institution, namely PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk in a period 2009-2017. The sampling technique of this study was determined by Saturated Sampling method to obtain 36 financial statements. The type of data is secondary data obtained from the website of Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) and the PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk. The analytical method is multiple regression analysis.
Hypothesis testing produces a T test (partial) in the regression model, obtain a significance value of 0.579. It can be concluded that partially the interest rate variable has a positive and insignificant effect on ROA (Y) at PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk. Inflation variable T test value 0.081, the Inflan variable has a
negative and insignificant effect on ROA (Y) at PT BFI Financ ndonesia Tbk. The result of determination coeffecient sho the value of hich means that all independent variables of Interest Rate X nd Inflation X re able to explain the variation of the dependent variable RO (Y) of 5.6%, le the remaining 94.4% is explained by other factors not included in the regression model
