Abstract :
This research was intended to find out the empirical evidence of the students? vocabulary mastery by using chain drawing game at the seventh grade students of SMP Setia Budi Binjai Sumatera Utara. This research was pre- experimental research. The population of this research was students? of class VII of SMP Setia Budi Binjai Sumatera Utara. The samples of this research were taken from 21 students of pre-experimental class (class VII-1. The instrument for collecting data were pre-tes tand post-test. After analyzing the data, the researcher got; (1) The students? vocabulary mastery of the pre-test got the mean 62.85 and standard deviation was 7.67; (2) The students? vocabulary mastery post-test got the mean 83.33 and standard deviation was 5.08. The value of tobserved was 46.9 and that of ttable was 2.02. So the value of tobserved was higher than that of ttable. It means that there was significant effect of using chain drawing game on students? vocabulary mastery.
