Abstract :
This research aimed to analyze how the influence of emotional intelligence, job satisfaction on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and its impact on the performance of the educational staff in State Islamic university of North Sumatra. This research is a quantitative study conducted at UIN North Sumatera with a population of 218 staffs. The sample in this research was educational staff working at UIN North Sumatra selected using the purposive sampling method. Based on the criteria and explanation according to purposive sampling, it can be determined that the sample in this research is as many as 65 respondents. Data of this research was collected by using a questionnaire using a Likert scale modified 4 levels. The scope of this study focuses on the influence of emotional intelligence and job satisfaction on Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and its impact on the performance of the teaching staff at UIN North Sumatra. While the data analysis method used is the path analysis method (Path Analysis). The results of this research showed that (1) Emotional intelligence has a direct effect on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) educational staff in UIN of North Sumatra (2) Job satisfaction has a direct effect on Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) education personnel in UIN of North Sumatra. (3) Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) influences directly to the performance of the teaching staff at UIN of North Sumatra (4) Emotional intelligence directly influences to the performance of the teaching staff at UIN of North Sumatra (5) Job satisfaction directly influences to the performance of the teaching staff at UIN of North Sumatra. (6) Intelligence emotions do not directly affect performance through Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB (7) Job satisfaction does not directly affect performance through Organizational citizenship behavior (OCB).
