Abstract :
This study aims to determine and explain the role of village-owned enterprises in boosting the village economy in tanjung balam village, siak hulu sub-district, kampar district. Beeping research indicators include encouraging the development of the village economy, increasing business opportunities and opportunities, encouraging the development of informal micro-enterprises, as a source of original village income, as a source of funds allocated, increasing business opportunities, and as a center for economic services. With quantitative methods, in this study there were two sampling techniques used, namely the census technique because the population of the village government apparatus and village-owned enterprises were relatively small and the purposive sampling technique was the method of withdrawing the sample by evaluating the subject based on specific criteria determined by the researcher. The results of this study indicate that the BUMDes Tanjung Balam plays a good role in driving the village economy. Although in terms of planning and programs have not been managed well because of the lack of business models and human resources.
