Abstract :
This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of class X IPS 3 SMAN 2 SIAK HULU for the 2019/2020 academic year with the application of a portfolio-based learning model. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) with the research subjects of class X IPS 3 SMAN 2 SIAK HULU in the 2019/2020 academic year, totaling 35 students consisting of 17 male students and 18 female students. This research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle had four stages, namely: planning (plan), action (act), observation (observation) and reflection (reflect). In cycle I consisted of 2 meetings working on paper portfolio assignments, lks, clippings and 1 daily test, cycle II consisted of 2 meetings working on paper portfolio assignments, lks, clippings and 1 daily test. The data collection technique was carried out by providing a final test of learning outcomes in the form of daily tests at the end of each cycle. While the data analysis test used descriptive analysis. Based on the research results, it shows that the portfolio learning model can improve the economic learning outcomes of X IPS 3 students at SMAN 2 Siak Hulu for the 2019/2020 academic year. The increase in student learning outcomes was seen in cycle I with an average of 77.25% and classical completeness of 64.51% increased in cycle II with an average of 87.09% and classical completeness of 90.32%. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of the Portfolio-Based learning model can improve the economic learning outcomes of class X IPS 3 students of SMAN 2 Siak Hulu for the 2019/2020 academic year.
