Abstract :
Language is an important thing in a communication that is used by human being. It is an instrument to send person?s message, idea, or mind to another person. In our daily life we always share our thought by using two or more languages. The speaker often inserts one language elements into other languages. This event is called code mixing. On this condition the writer tries to analyze code mixing that used in Manusia Setengah Salmon Novel. The problems of the research are: what are the forms of code mixing and what are the purposes of code mixing that used in Manusia Setengah Salmon Novel. The research uses descriptive qualitative method to collect the data. The data of the research is taken from Manusia Setengah Salmon novel on June 14th 2016. The writer collects data by finding the words of Indonesian-English code mixing used in Manusia Setengah Salmon Novel, selecting sentence that consist of Indonesian-English code mixing.
