Abstract :
This study aims to determine and analyze how organizational communication improves employee performance at the Samsat office in Tembilahan Hulu District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research focuses on organizational communication. While the theoretical model used is the Hierarchy of Needs Theory by Abraham Maslow. The analysis of this study used a qualitative descriptive method with the techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The subject of this research used purposive sampling technique. The results of research on organizational communication in improving employee performance can be categorized quite well because there are still several indicators that have not been implemented properly. while the performance of employees at the Tembilahan Samsat office can be categorized as not optimal because there are no solutions and actions taken by employees if the tax payer community experiences difficulties in tax management services which take a long time. The existence of incentives / salaries, awards, and the opportunity for employees to take part in training. The existence of standard operating procedures (SOP) is a supporting factor for employee guidance in improving employee performance. And the cooperation of employees in carrying out their respective duties in improving the performance of employees at the Tembilahan Samsat office is one of the supporting factors in improving the performance of the Samsat office employees in Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency.
