Abstract :
This research was conducted with the aim of knowing whether good governance affects the financial performance of the Department of Trade and Industry of Kampar Regency. superior financial performance, so that in its processing it is necessary to have good governance. This type of research uses a quantitative analytical descriptive method. The data collection technique used a questionnaire/questionnaire. The sampling technique in this study used the saturated sampling method. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. From the research results obtained by the author, it turns out that the Trade and Industry of Kampar Regency has implemented the principles of good governance well, this can be seen from the predetermined characteristics, which consist of the principles of good governance such as participation, the rule of law, transparency, effectiveness and efficiency, accountability, so as to support the effectiveness of financial performance. Based on the results of the analysis of determination obtained an R value of 0.63 or 62.3%%, it can be concluded that the Implementation of Good Governance Principles on Financial Performance in Trade and Industry in Kampar Regency has a moderate effect with a percentage level of 62.3%% while the remaining 37, 7% is influenced by other factors outside of this regression, such as other variables not examined, such as the principle of strategic vision, responsiveness, consensus orientation, internal control systems, and accounting information systems.
