Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of Regional Size, Level of Dependence on the Center, and Regional Expenditures on the Performance of Regency / City Governments in Riau Province for the 2014-2018 Fiscal Year. The research method used is quantitative with a survey design. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that the size of the area has a significant effect on the performance of local governments. Dependence on the Center has a significant effect on the performance of local governments. Regional Expenditures have a significant effect on the performance of local governments. Regional Size, Dependence on the Center and Regional Expenditures together have a significant effect on the performance of local governments. There is an influence of 65.4% which is given from the variables of Regional Size, Dependence on the Center and Regional Expenditures on the performance of the City/Regency Regional Governments in Riau Province. So, there is another 34.6% that will be contributed by other variables that are not included in this study.
