Abstract :
Wax is one of the problems that occurs in the mainline during the transportation of crude oil from GS PT SPR Langgak to GS PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia in the field Petapahan. Deposit waxes Thesecause serious problems if not handled properly. The method used forprevention wax is the use of Horizontal Pump Systems(HPS). Using this HPS, it is necessary to analyze the pressure drop and temperature drop that occurs along the mainline. Theanalysis was pressure drop carried out using the Shell/MIT equation, and the temperature drop analysis was performed using the karge method. Based on the results of the research conducted, the pressure drop that occurs along the 10 km mainline is 21.05 psi, with the least pressure drop that occurs, proving that the transported oil can flow to its destination withoutproblems wax. Furthermore, the decrease in temperature that occurs in the environment 35? is 14,102? , while the decrease in temperature that occurs in the environment 25? is 18,717?, with this result the decrease in temperature that occurs during transportation is still above WAT, this proves that the wax has not been formed even though there is a decrease in temperature.
