Abstract :
This research examines the role of Pekanbaru City Education Office in handling dropouts in Tenayan Raya sub-district. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of the Pekanbaru City Education Office in handling dropouts in Tenayan Raya sub-district. The research used a qualitative method, which means describing the actual or actual situation. Informan withdrawal technique used is purposive sampling, namely the method of determining the informant determined on the basis of certain criteria or considerations. Data collection technique used are interviews, observation, and documentation. The result of this research are the role of the Pekanbaru City Education Office In Handling School Dropouts in Tenayan Raya sub-district in the norm indicator plays a less role, the role of the Pekanbaru City Education Office In Handling School Dropouts In Tenayan Raya sub-district in the individual indicator it plays a role, and in the role of the Pekanbaru City Education Office In Handling School Dropouts In Tenayan Raya sub-district in the social structure indicator it plays a less role. Some of the inhibiting factors in The Role Of The Pekanbaru City Education Office In Handling School Dropouts In Tenayan Raya sub-district are there are no regulations specially for handling dropouts, and as well as internal and external factors.
