Abstract :
This study aims to determine the Strategy of the Local Public Broadcasting Institution of Radio Swara Kampar 103.8 Fm in Attracting Listeners' Interest. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The informants in this study were the Director of Radio Swara Kampar 103.8 FM, one person, the Head of the Radio Swara Kampar 103.8 FM station, one person, the broadcaster of Radio Swara Kampar 103.8 FM released two people. The data of this research are primary data, direct observation in the form of collecting data by interview with observation. The secondary data of this research is taking data from the office, the results of field surveys, interviews with the head of the communication service / director of the swara kampar radio, one station head, and 2 people. broadcaster radio. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses triangulation of data sources consisting of Data Reduction (Data Reduction), Data Display (Data Presentation), and Conclusion Drawing (Verification). Based on the results of research and discussion on the Swara Kampar 103.8 Fm Local Public Broadcasting Strategy, it was found that the strategy used to attract listeners' attention was to have a superior program, namely the Ocu Badendang and Kampar Hari Ini programs, not getting paid from incoming advertisements, using new technology such as the YouTube sound system and media channels, radio click applications and websites.
