Abstract :
This study aims to examine, identify, describe and explain how family communication between parents and their children in tackling smoking behavior in adolescents. The formulation of the problem is how is family communication between parents and their children in dealing with smoking behavior of teenagers aged 12 -18 years in the village of Kebun Lado. In this study, the researcher used a qualitative descriptive research method that tried to describe or describe the object under study based on the facts in the field. By using informants as data sources, the data presented uses data through interviews, books and the internet. The theory used in this research is the theory of Conversation Analysis Theory. From the results of the study, it was concluded that poor social interaction in the Lado garden village, parents who smoke, and juvenile delinquency are some of the factors that cause children in the Lado garden village to become smokers, but parents do not forget to tell their children so as not to fall into bad associations.
