Abstract :
This research was motivated by the issue of perfumes that became the debate that is often talked by many scholars about the content in the perfume. Though the using of perfumed is one of the acts that recommended by our prophet Muhammad SAW, especially in doing worship. However, today most of the perfumes sold on the market contain alcohol which is used as a solvent. Whereas in Islamic law, alcohol is one of the substances that are forbidden because of the effects it causes. Based on these problems, the researcher was interested to do this research about the practices of selling and buying perfumes especially about transaction and ethic that implemented by merchant according to fiqh muamalah. The formulation of problem in this research was how the practice of selling and buying perfumes according to Fiqh Muamalah in sale transaction especially in the term of ethics at Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru. This is field research with descriptive qualitative methods. In collecting data used observation, interview and documentation. After collecting data, it was analyzed by using qualitative analysis. The result of this research showed that the practices of buying and selling from three stores, namely PD. Parfum Paris, J&L parfum Refill dan Wangi Parfum was still have the constrained by the substances contained and the provision of levels of perfume. Whereas if it was seen from the pillars and conditions of sale and purchase according to Fiqh muamalah that perfumes which contain alcohol still permit to sell. Thus, the researcher suggest for sellers and customers have to investigate the contains of alcohol and the level of perfumes that permit in Islam in order to not make the worries when used it for prayer.
