Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of duties of the Pekanbaru City PPPA Service in Handling Cases of Violence in Children in Pekanbaru City (Study at the PPPA Service Unit of Pekanbaru City). This study used a qualitative type with descriptive survey research method, this research was conducted at the Pekanbaru City PPPA Service (Study at the Pekanbaru City PPPA Service Unit). In this study, researchers conducted observations and interviews with offices and service units, namely the head of the service, the Head of the Division, the Service Unit Coordinator, Advocates, Psychologists, Counselors and Administrators. After analyzing and discussing it, it can be concluded that the implementation of the duties of the Pekanbaru City PPPA Office in Handling Cases of Violence against Children in Pekanbaru City (Studies at the PPPA Service Unit of Pekanbaru City) has not been going well. From the results of the research, it was found that problems such as low budget, no regional regulations, no safe house facilities, not maximal in serving the reporter because it had to be scheduled in advance, coordination was not optimal, and the number of staff was insufficient. As for several things that can be suggested, namely increasing the budget, there must be a legal umbrella, complete facilities and infrastructure and provide training to several employees in order to improve the quality of providing services.
