Abstract :
If the students? reading interest is increased seriously, it will be sure the students? learning outcomes is getting better. Due to the students? reading interest can run smoothly for students. Based on the preliminary research, it found some symptoms as follow: 1) there were students didn?t have spririt in reading, 2) some of students didn?t have reading books except their course books, 3) some of students didn?t want to side a set their time to read, 4) there were students prefer to talk with their friends rather than to read at rest time. The formulation of problem in this study as follows: is there any significant influence of students? reading interest on learning outcomes of islamic religion education at the eleventh year students of SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kuras at Pelalawan Regency. The aim in this study was to find out whether there is a influence of reading interest on learning outcomes of islamic religion education at the eleventh year students of SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kuras at Pelalawan Regency. Population in this study were all the eleventh year students with the numbers 238 students, and the sample in this study were 70 students. This is correlational study . In collecting data, it used questionnaire and in analyzing data used editing, coding and tabulating and calculated by using SPSS 20. Based on model sumary tabel, it showed the coeficient determination at the range 0.669 which categorized ?strong?. It means there is a significant influence of reading interest on learning outcomes of islamic religion education at the eleventh year students of SMAN 1 Pangkalan Kuras at Pelalawan Regency.
