Abstract :
This research is motivated by the increasing prevalence of crime of motorcycle theft in the community, especially in the Bukit Raya City Police Station, Pekanbaru. In this study the author discusses the role of victims of motorcyle theft, because victims are very important in the occurrence of crime of motorcycle theft. Without casualties there is no possibility of a crime of motorcycle theft. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. By collecting data from interviews and observations in the field. From this study, the following conclusions can be drawn: the attitude of negligence of the victim becomes an illustration of the loss of the motorcyle belonging to the victim, because he is not careful in maintaining his motorcyle, believes in strangers who themselves do not know whether the person is good or evil, environmental influences in the community it is also a cause of motorcycle theft and a lack of safeguards so that easy crime will occur, especially for victims of motorcycle theft.
