Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the implementation of community empowerment functions by the Village Government in Sungai Paku Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. The research method used is descriptive method with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Respondents used in this study were 38 people consisting of a village head, a village secretary, and a head of government division in Sungai Paku village, Kampar Kiri district, Kampar district, as well as 35 family heads (KK) from the local village community. Types and sources of data are primary and secondary data and data collection using questionnaires, interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive analysis with quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of the study found that overall the respondent's response to the Community Empowerment Function variable by the Village Government in Sungai Paku Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency was a fairly good category. This means that the function of community empowerment by the Village Government in Sungai Paku Village, Kampar Kiri Subdistrict, Kampar Regency has been carried out quite well which includes: Creating an atmosphere or climate that allows the potential of the community to develop (enabling), Strengthening the potential of the community (empowering), and Protecting the people (protecting).
