Abstract :
The problem of waste has indeed become a frightening specter for Pekanbaru City, so this makes the Pekanbaru City Government and the legislature hot, even several times the Pekanbaru City Environment and Hygiene Service (DLHK) has often been questioned about their performance in waste management in Pekanbaru. Implementation of Pekanbaru City Regional Regulation Number 8 of 2014 concerning Waste Management. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis techniques, qualitative research is a process that is more intended to understand human problems in a social context by creating and presenting a comprehensive and complex picture, reporting detailed views from informant sources, and carried out naturally without any intervention from the author, with interviews and observations as a data collection tool, with the results of the study obtaining the conclusion that in the Implementation of Pekanbaru City Regional Regulation Number 8 of 2014 concerning waste management in Pekanbaru City. categorized as Poor where in the implementation of waste management in Pekanbaru there are still several obstacles such as the lack of socialization provided by the Pekanbaru City Environment and Hygiene Service to the community, then the lack of supporting facilities and infrastructure in waste management such as a garbage transport fleet and limited budget so that personnel inadequate waste management.
