Abstract :
This research is motivated by the expectation that the ability to analyze structure and language is not good enough, the anecdotal text of class X SMA Seri Rama YLPI Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019. The purpose of this study was to: (1) describe, analyze, and interpret students' ability to analyze the structure of anecdotal text class X of Seri Rama YLPI Pekanbaru High School; and to (2) describe, analyze, and interpret students' abilities to analyze the language of the class X anecdotal text in Pekanbaru Rama YLPI High School. This research method is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, while the type of this research is field research. The results showed that: (1) The ability of students to analyze the structure of the anecdotal text class X of SMA Rama YLPI Pekanbaru in 2018/2019 academic year is not good, it is known from the average value of 66.15 which is at intervals of 61-66 or with categories poor value; and (2) The ability of students to analyze the language of the anecdotal text of class X SMA Seri Rama YLPI Pekanbaru in the 2018/2019 academic year is not good, it is known from the average value of 64.95 which is in the interval of 61-66 or with a category of poor grades. The conclusions of the study are: (1) the ability to analyze the anecdotal text structure of class X SMA Seri Rama YLPI Pekanbaru 2018/2019 academic year is not good (61 - 66) accepted, because the average student ability score is 66.15 or at intervals grades 61 - 66 (not good). (2) the ability to analyze the language of the anecdotal text of class X SMA Seri Rama YLPI Pekanbaru 2018/2019 academic year is not good (61 - 66) rejected, because the average value of students' abilities is 81.41 or at the interval of 75-84 (well). The research hypothesis which reads: "The ability to analyze the structure of the anecdotal text of class X SMA Seri Rama YLPI Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019 is not good (61 - 66)," accepted; and (2) the ability to analyze language the anecdotal text of class X SMA Seri Rama YLPI Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019 is not good (61 - 66) rejected
