Abstract :
The implementation of the duties of the Dumai City Education Office in Guiding Kindergarten Educators includes teacher duties, the material presented and the form of teaching. Maximum implementation of tasks will result in good performance, including increasing teacher knowledge. The purpose of this study was to analyze and determine the inhibiting factors in the implementation of the duties of the Dumai City Education Office in Kindergarten Teacher Development in West Dumai Regency. The research method used is a quantitative method with data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Discussion on the Implementation of the Duties of the Dumai City Education Office in Fostering Kindergarten Educators has not been carried out optimally due to the lack of the number of employees in conducting coaching and the ability of employees not to understand the form of coaching related to learning and teaching based on curriculum. The conclusion is that the implementation of coaching for Kindergarten teachers has been carried out but has not developed optimally so that there are still teaching staff who have not participated in coaching activities. However, the authors suggest increasing the number of employees in conducting coaching activities, increasing employee knowledge in conducting coaching activities and increasing employee cooperation with teaching teachers in improving the quality of education.
