Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine student behavior and the factors causing difference in behavior of disciplined and undisciplined boarding houses. This research was conducted at two different places. namely Kos X (Discipline Boarding) and Kos Y (Kost Undisciplined. in Jalan Air Dingin, Simpang Tiga Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City). The population that will become the object of this research are residents of boarding house X and boarding Y. The number of samples is 50 people at Kos X and kos Y 50 people with census withdrawal techniques. The reasercher used primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews by using. Data analysis technique quantitative with descriptive approach. The results of this research indicate that the conformity, retreatist, ribellion factors at boarding house X had the highest average score compared to cost Y, while the innovasi and ritualistme factors at boarding house Y had the highest average score compared to boarding house X.
