Abstract :
This study aims to determine how the function of the village head in fostering neighboring neighborhoods and residents in the Kempas Jaya Village Kempas District, Indragiri Hilir District. The assessment indicators used include education, training, guidance, information, meetings, discussions and deliberations. This type of research, located in Kempas Jaya Village, KempasSubdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency is a descriptive survey, which prioritizes the questionnaire list as a data collection tool and the data collected with this tool is then used as the main raw material for analyzing empirical conditions of the objectivity of research objectives at the location researched. The sample population in this study is 30 people. Namely those who become administrators of RT and RW in Kempas Jaya Kelurahan. The sample size determined from this population uses a purposive sampling technique because there are a lot of RT and RW with data collected through questionnaire and interview lists and secondary data collected by observation. While data analysis techniques using distribution table tools. Based on this data analysis technique, the researcher assessed the function of the lurah in fostering neighboring neighborhoods and community units in Kempas Jaya Village, KempasSubdistrict, Indragiri Hilir Regency, at sufficiently implemented intervals. Recommendations that need to be considered, especially with the development of village heads to RT and RW, are further enhanced because many low human resources are found, and also see the enormous and urgent role of the RT and RW in the community environment, so that community welfare development can be realized.
