Abstract :
Purpose of the study was to analyze and determine the factors that influence students' interest in Biology Class XI Saving Science High School in Tenayan Raya Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019. This study uses a qualitative and quantitative approach. The method used in this study is a survey and data collection carried out using questionnaires, observation and interviews. The study population amounted to 309 students, consisting of all students of Class XI IPA 2018/2019 Academic Year Pekanbaru 6 High School which amounted to 206 students and Class XI IPA Students Academic Year 2018/2019 Pekanbaru 11 High School, amounting to 103 students. As for the total sample of the study were 77 students, consisting of 51 students of Class XI IPA 2018/2019 Academic Year Pekanbaru 6 High School and 26 Class XI IPA Students 2018/2019 Academic Year Pekanbaru 11 High School. Based on the results of the data analysis and the discussion that has been done, it is concluded that: (1) The influence of Internal Factors on students' learning interest in Biology Subjects in Pekanbaru State Senior High School is an average of 77.5% or with a strong influence category, while Factor influence Internal learning interest in students in Biology Subjects in Pekanbaru 11 High School is an average of 74.9% or with a strong influence category; (2) Effect of External Factors on students' learning interest in Biology Subjects in Pekanbaru State Senior High School is an average of 75.5% or with a strong category of influence, while the influence of External Factors on student learning interest in Biology Subjects in Public High Schools 11 Pekanbaru is an average of 74.4% or with a strong influence category; and (3) Effect of Learning Approach Factors on students 'learning interest in Biology Subjects in Pekanbaru State Senior High School is an average of 81.2% or with a very strong influence category, while the influence of Learning Approach Factors on students' learning interest in Biology Subjects in Pekanbaru 11 SMA is an average of 72.3% or with a strong influence category.
