Abstract :
This study was conducted to improve learning outcomes on economic lessons through the Treffinger learning model for students of class X IPS 1 in Pekanbaru State High School 2 in 2018/2019. The instrument used in this study was in the form of student worksheets, and the final test was in the form of 5 essay questions. The population and sample in this study were all students of class X IPS 1 Pekanbaru 2 High School. Data collection in this study tests economic learning outcomes by using 1 cycle of 3 meetings. Based on the results obtained an increase in student learning outcomes seen on the average at the first meeting cycle 91.39% and the second meeting 95.69%. This shows that the average student learning outcomes gradually increase then the average student activity also increases in the first cycle of the first meeting 78.57% and the second meeting 87.57%. Teacher activity was also seen in cycle 1 with an average of 20.83 with perfect categories. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the Treffinger learning model can improve learning outcomes on economics in class X IPS 1 in SMA 2 Pekanbaru in the academic year 2018/2019.
