Abstract :
This research was conducted in Gunung Melintang Village, Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict, Kuantan Singingi Regency, while the purpose of this study was to study the role of the Village Head in Encouraging Communities in the Field of Development in the Gunung Melintang Village, Subdistrict Kuantan Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi District, and also whatever else was sought as Village Head in Encouraging Community Participation in the Field of Development. The population in this study is the Village Head, Village Secretary, BPD, RT and RW, community leaders, and the general public (KK), based on the results of the study that the authors propose about the Village Head in encouraging community participation in the Field of Development based on the indicator of the stabiliator that states receiving as much 50% of respondents and those who stated they did not receive as much as 50% of respondents and those who said they did not receive as much as 0% of respondents, then in the selected innovator indicator were 47% of respondents and who stated less attractive were 50% of respondents who did not receive as much as 3%. Then in the agreed modernist indicators as much as 44% and those who were declared less agreed as many as 56% of respondents. Then in the pioneer indicators that were agreed as many as 47% of respondents and those declared less successful as much as 53% then those who were declared not playing a role as much as 1% of respondents. then the executing indicator itself states that they accept as much as 47%, which states they do not receive as much as 50%, and who states they do not accept as much as 3%. From the results of these three indicators, the writer makes a recapitulation table for the role of the Village Head in Encouraging Community Participation in the Field of Development in Gunung Melintang Village, Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict, Kuantan District, singing, which on average is asked by 17 respondents and 18 proven to be less useful , 6% of respondents and those who said they did not receive 0.4% of respondents. Which if percentage is included as much as 47.22% and as many as 51.66% less accountable and as many as 1.11% stated that they did not receive. So it can be concluded that the role of the Village Head in Encouraging Communities in the Field of Development in Gunung Melintang Village, Kuantan Hilir Subdistrict, Kuantan Regency, singing is less preferred. Suggestions and input from the author are the Village Head above, supporting development to the community for development, for this participation the planned development program will run well and on target.
