Abstract :
This research aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning model on motivation to learn mathematics students of SMA Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu 2018/2019 academic year. This research was conducted starting on 20 February 2019 until 18 April 2019. The form of this research is a Quasi Experiment with the design of Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Sampling uses Purposive Sampling. The sample in this research was the XI IPS 3 class as the experimental class and XI IPS 2 as the control class. Data collection techniques in this research were conducted by questionnaire techniques, interviews, and observations. Data on students' mathematics learning motivation were analyzed by descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. Inferential analysis in this study is the t-test and simple linear regression.
