Abstract :
Organizational performance is the totality of the work achieved by an organization, the achievement of organizational goals means that the performance of the organization can be seen from the degree to which the organization can achieve goals that are based on the goals set previously. Organizational performance is something that has been achieved by the organization within a certain period, both related to the input, output, outcome, benefits and impact. The problem that arises namely the handling of floods is still not optimal in Pekanbaru City, so the purpose of this study is to determine performance Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Pekanbaru city in tackling the flood disaster. This research approach is a qualitative approach with research locations in Pekanbaru City. Types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data, while data collection is done through observations, interviews and documentation. After the data is obtained and then grouped according to its type, then the data is analyzed and linked with theories in the form of a description so that conclusions can be drawn. Based on the results of performance research BPBD Pekanbaru city considered not done well, this is seen from the lack of division of tasks of each personnel in tackling flood disasters in the city of Pekanbaru, education and training for communities that have not been implemented, there has been no reduction in areas affected by flooding in the city of Pekanbaru, and have not yet formed people who care about the environment. .
