Abstract :
The problem in this study is how is the Transformation of Silat Shield Into Shield Dance in Bangkinang, Kampar Regency, Riau Province? The purpose of this study is to find out how the Silat Shield Transformation into Perisai Dance in Bangkinang, Kampar Regency, Riau Province. The method used is Descriptive Qualitative Non Interactive method, Qualitative Descriptive method Non Interactivity is a method where the author does not interact directly with the object of research, and only through video and photo documents. Data collection techniques used are by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study are the transformation of silat perisai into shield dance, which was once only a defense martial art in resolving a problem that can only be seen if a dispute occurs and now has become an entertainment for the wider community and is a new work but does not eliminate traditional values in it.
