Abstract :
Language errors are not only found in speech but also in written language. This can be seen from the variety of languages ??based on their usage. Seen in terms of usage, the variety of languages ??can be distinguished into oral and written variations. Errors in written language are often found in scientific work. PPL report is a scientific work that already has internal rules writing and still found some language errors in the report PPL thus making the reader misinterpret the meaning in the writing especially in semantic level linguistic studies. The problem in this study is how semantic level language mistakes are in the PPL year report 2018 students of the Language and Literature Study Program at the Riau Islamic University ?. The purpose of this study is to describe, analyze, interpret and summarizing semantic level language errors in PPL reports. The method used in this research is descriptive analytical method. The data source in this study is the 2018 PPL student report Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, Riau Islamic University. Approach used in this research is the quality approach. Types of research this is literature (Library research ). From the results of data processing collected in this study are: (1) error due to a pairing the confusion contained in the PPL report, (2 ) error due to word choice incorrect on the PPL report. Mistake due to a partner the confusion contained in the PPL report found 15 data, errors because an incorrect choice of words found in the PPL report was found 49 data. From the explanation above, the error is due to incorrect word choice more is found than the fault of the pair confused.
