Abstract :
This study aims to improve the process and improve mathematics learning outcomes for students of class XI IPS 1 SMA PGRI Pekanbaru through the application of themodelProbing Prompting. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPS 1 SMA PGRI Pekanbaru, totaling 32 students consisting of 13 male students and 19 female students. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles. The data collection instrument consisted of an observation sheet and a learning outcome test sheet that had been analyzed. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used is descriptive data analysis in the form of qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Based on the observation sheet at each meeting, it shows that there is an improvement in the process and based on learning outcomes there is an increase in learning as seen from the number of students who reach the KKM and the average student learning outcomes in mathematics. So it can be concluded that the application of themodelProbing Prompting can improve the process and improve mathematics learning outcomes for students in class XI IPS 1 SMA PGRI Pekanbaru.
