Abstract :
This study aims to describe the aesthetic value contained in the song Surga Nari Aku ItatapNdu Protestantat the Church of Runggun Pekanbaru, Riau Province. The theory of aesthetic value used is the theory of Djelantik (1999:17) there are 3 elements that stimulate the beauty of works of art, the characteristics of the beautiful feeling are form, weight, and appearance. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach and descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study are observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation techniques. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis because the author describes the data qualitatively and the information obtained. The result of this research is the aesthetic value contained in the song Surga Nari Aku ItatapNdu has 3 aspects, namely; The form has a score of notes, the tempo of the music is 66-70, musical notes, the chord starts from c, the style played on the keyboard is a style power ballad or 8-bit, and the lyrics of the song consist of 4 stanzas in the Karo regional language; then weights or content that has the atmosphere(Mood)sad, calm, and sad; the idea (idea) is obtained from the story of the dark experience of the songwriter and the message or message of the song is to be able to stay away from His prohibitions and always remember that God is watching us wherever we are; and lastly is the appearance where it is recommended to dress modestly in houses of worship.
