Abstract :
This study aims to find out about the art of Sisingaan performance in Bukit Lingkar Village at Batang Cenaku District in Indragiri Hulu Regence. The method used is descriptive analysis method based on qualitative data. The data collection technique is done by: (1) observation, (2) interviews, (3) documentation. The subjects of this study were 19 people, namely 2 members of the Sinar Sari Association, 5 musicians, 12 dancers. The theory used is the theory of Soedarsono (1977) which states that the elements of art in dance as a performance art include: (1) motion, (2) music, (3) floor design, (4) dynamics, (5) themes, (6) make-up, (7) costumes, (8) props, (9) lighting, (10) stage. Furthermore, Murgianto (2004) states that there are supporting elements in performing arts, namely: (1) the stage or stage, (2) the audience or audience. Based on the findings of research on the art of Sisingaan performance in Bukit Lingkar Village at Batang Cenaku District in Indragiri Hulu Regence, this Sisingaan performing art is performed at circumcision events, welcoming guests, and on major holidays. There are also various movements used in the Sisingaan performing arts, namely: the opening movement, namely the basic movement of silat, the core movement of the udder swing, sauyunan walk, jungjung lift, up and down, puter tactak, and the closing movement, namely pogdut ray sari or free dance accompanied by drums, gongs, bonang, and trumpet instruments.
