Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of discipline towards the learning outcomes of education in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Pekanbaru. This type of research is a simple correlation. The population in this study were eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 9 Pekanbaru which consisted of 9 classes totaling 332 students, the sampling technique was a random sample taking 15% of all students and the number of samples was 50 people. The instruments of this study were questionnaires and student report cards. The results of calculations performed obtained a correlation index of 0.321. The r table value at df = 48 is 0.279 and therefore 0.321> 0.279. The value of t count = 2.39 while t table is 2.01 therefore 2.39. The percentage of the relationship between variable X and variable Y is 10.3%. The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant relationship between the level of discipline towards the learning outcomes of the students of the eighth grade of SMP Negeri 9 Pekanbaru with the influence of 10.3%.
