Abstract :
Still low results of learning to pass over volleyball is the background of this study. The purpose of this study was to improve the results of passing over learning through teaching variation methods in class XI IPS2 students at SMA Negeri 3 Singingi Hilir. This type of research is PTK (Class Action Research). The population in this study were students of class VII of Class XI IPS2, 21 people in SMA Negeri 3 Singingi Hilir. The sample technique in this study was total sampling so the number of samples was 21 students. The results of the application of the teaching variation method obtained an average of the results of learning over volleyball passing was 67 with the number of students completing or graduating as much as 57%. The application of the teaching variation method in the second cycle obtained an average learning result of volleyball passing over by 80 and the number of students completed or graduated as much as 86%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of variation training methods can improve the results of upper passing learning in volleyball games in class XI IPS2 of SMA Negeri 3 Singingi Hilir.
