Abstract :
This research was conducted with the aim of finding out the compatibility between the demands of Permendiknas No. 24 of 2007 with the factual conditions of the science laboratory in the academic year 2018/2019. The study was conducted in 5 schools, namely in SMP 2, SMPN 8, SMPN 18, SMPN 32 and SMPN 35 from February to March 2019. Data collection techniques in the study used were observation techniques, checklist sheets, interviews and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. This type of research is a survey. The average yield of 5 Pekanbaru SMPNs is 8th Junior High School of 88,0% (according to minimum standards), 32 Senior High Schools of 86.4% (according to minimum standards), 35 of SMPNs of 79.9% (according to minimum standards), 18 of SMPNs of 77.9 % (according to minimum standards) and SMP 2 for 74.4 (quite according to minimum standards). It can be seen that the average percentage of 5 Pekanbaru SMPNs is 81.2% (according to minimum standards) but has not met the 100% standard set by Minister of Education Regulation No. 24 of 2007
