Abstract :
This study aims to provide an overview of the custom guitar manufacturing technique at Cresc Guitars Pekanbaru. The object of this research is focused on the process of making an acoustic guitar. This research uses qualitative methods with descriptive analysis techniques. Data obtained through the approach of interview observation and documentation. Through the results of research on the technique of making custom guitars at Cresc Guitars Pekanbaru, it is concluded that: The process of making this custom guitar is carried out in stages starting from the tools and materials, measuring, cutting, installing side bodies, gluing body blocks, installing kerfing, installing frames, gluing top bodies , making the neck, installing the fret board to the neck and finishing. The tools and materials used in making custom guitars at Cresc Guitars Pekanbaru are chainsaws, drilling machines, wood glue, gauges, pliers, and clamps. The technique for making custom guitars at Cresc Guitars this weekend uses the technique of making side bodies made from plywood. The results of the assessment of several informants show that the custom guitars made at Cresc Guitars Pekanbaru are of no less good quality than custom guitars made through modern techniques.
