Abstract :
This thesis dicusses the Aesthetic Value of Traditional Ukigh Clothing in the District of Kuantan Mudik, Kuantan Singingi District, Riau Province. Aesthetics is a branch of philosophy that studies and discusses art and beauty as well as human response to it. Aesthetic is part of philosophy or beauty. The problem in this study is How the Aesthetic Value of Traditional Ukigh Clothing in the District of Kuantan Mudik, Kuantan Singingi District, Riau Province?. The Purpose of this study was to determine the Aesthetic Value of Traditional Ukigh Clothing in The District of Kuantan Mudik, Kuantan Singingi District, Riau Province. The teory that researches use is the theory of asthetic values by Darsono Sony Kartika. The method used in this research is the descriptive analysis, with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this study were Observation, Interview, Documentation data collection techniques. The results of this study conclude that the beauty of the Traditional Ukigh clothing can be seen in terms of the Unity, Harmony, Symmetry, Balance, and Contrast found in the Traditional Ukigh Clothing.
