Abstract :
Based on observations students are still less enthusiastic in doing volleyball learning especially Passing under students is often not passionate about learning Passing down because students are still afraid because they feel pain when doing Passing down using real balls, thus causing many students not to achieve the minimum completeness criteria (7, 5) in learning Passing under the game of volleyball The purpose of this study was to improve the basic technical skills of passing down the game of volleyball through tool modification in class VII2 students of SMPN 35 Pekanbaru. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The sample in this study amounted to 40 students. The data source for this study came from students and teachers. After doing the research, the results of this study indicate that through the modification of the tool can improve the basic technique of passing under the game of volleyball on class VII2 students of SMPN 35 Pekanbaru. The results of the first cycle of research on class VII2 students of SMPN 35 Pekanbaru reached a percentage of 72.5% including the fairly good category. Continued with a cycle of 2 students in class VII2 of SMPN 35 Pekanbaru reaching a percentage of 84.2% including the good category.
