Abstract :
This research aims to improve biology learning outcomes at the VIII3 grade students of SMPN 16 Pekanbaru in academic year 2015-2016, through the application of active learning strategies type Group to Group Exchange (GGE). This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is start from August until September 2016. In this research, the participant are students of SMPN 16 Pekanabru at VIII3 grade consist of 42 students. Data were analyzed descriptively. Descriptive analisysis about student learning conducts the 2 (two) cycles consist of 10 (Ten) meetings. In cycle I absorption increased (11,34%) before CAR (66,16%) after CAR in cycle I (77,50%). In cycle II absorption students PPK increased (12,65%) from (77,50%) to be (90,15%). Students learning outcomes KI in cycle I increased (9,59%) from (70,73%) to be (80,23%). In cycle II absorption KI in creased (9,98%) to be (90,30%). The finding show teaching and learning activities with the application active learning strategies type Group to Group Exchange (GGE) to improve biology learning outcomes at VIII3 grade students of SMPN 16 Pekanbaru of the academic year 2016/2017.
