Abstract :
This study aimed to improve the students' learning outcomes of biology by applying the Ladder Snake Game method at students grade XI IPA4 of SMAN 1 Pasir Penyu, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Academic Year 2018/2019, totaling 33 students derived from 10 male students and 23 female students. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) carried out on February 22, 2019 until May 21, 2019. The parameters measured in this study were student learning outcomes in the form of learning capacity, standard learning, namely Cognitive and Psychomotor. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis technique. The capacity of students? cognitive before class action research (CAR) conducted was 69.18% and it increased in the first cycle becoming 79.48% and in the second cycle, it increased again reaching 89.71%. The Standard learning of students' cognitive scores before CAR done was 45,45% and increased in the first cycle becoming 75.76% and in the second cycle;it increased again reaching 100.00%. The capacity of students' core competence before the CAR was 72.33% and it increased in cycle I becoming 90,37% and it increased in cycle II becoming 91,60%. The Standard learning of students' psychomotor score before the CAR was 45,45%, than it increased in the first cycle reaching 100.00% and increased in the second cycle reaching 100.00%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of learning media of snake ladder game could improve the learning outcomes of students grade XI IPA4 of SMAN 1 Pasir Penyu Indragiri Hulu Regency in academic year 2018/2019.
