Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to improve the ability of the Basic Techniques of passing football games through the Student Team Achievment Division (STAD) method in Class X SMA Negeri 1 Batu Hampar, Rokan Hilir Regency. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The subjects of this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Batu Hampar, Rokan Hilir Regency, totaling 31 people. The results of the study by applying the STAD method were obtained in the first cycle the average score was 74 with the number of students completing 65%, in Cycle II the average was 79 with the number of students completing 90%. The difference in points shows that the application of the Student Team Achievment Division (STAD) method can improve the basic technical skills of passing football games for Class X SMA Negeri 1 Batu Hampar, Rokan Hilir Regency.
