Abstract :
Fraud crimes by Candidates for Civil Servants are increasingly occurring in both remote and urban areas. This is because many people think that a job as a civil servant is a job that is safe and guarantees old age. The discussion in this thesis is how to carry out the Fraud Crime Investigation in the Admission of Prospective Civil Servants by the Pekanbaru City Police and What are the Obstacles in the Implementation of Fraud Criminal Investigation in the Admission of Prospective Civil Servants by the Pekanbaru City Police. This research is a normative and empirical research. Legal materials were obtained from data collection obtained from the Library of the Faculty of Law, Riau Islamic University and the Soeman HS Library on Jalan Sudirman, Pekanbaru City and Empirical legal materials were obtained directly from data sources or respondents who were interviewed. Based on the results of the Research on Criminal Actions against Fraud of Prospective Civil Servants at the Pekanbaru City Police, from 2017 to 2019 there have been changes in numbers every year and in the investigation process the Investigator always faces various kinds of obstacles so that it can slow down the performance of Investigators in carrying out the investigation process. , of course, there are also efforts made by the investigator in overcoming the obstacles that occur.
